It's a NEW DAY

He that is without sin cast the first stone. Forgive your brother 7 times 70. Confess your faults one to another. In sin did my mother concieve me. The word of God is clear in nearly every chapter of every book; sin is present and affects every facet of our lives. Remember, we are spiritual people having a very human experience. Our need for a savior is not a singular event rather a daily necessity. "Who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord and savior" His grace is greater than all our sin. Succeess in this human experience depends upon our reliance on a savior who understands our frailty and daily cleanses us of all our iniquity. The psalmist said, "the LORD is my rock and my salvation." Seek His forgiveness now and start this new day in grace and renewal! Don't let sin to keep you from abundant living. Allow Gods grace to help you discover it. JMT iPhone

Matthew 23:11 (KJV)  11But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant Another father daughter day!!! I'm starting to look forward to them more and more.  TSC even called and asked if I could possibly come in. I said no, Today belongs to my girl Allie. Glad I did. We had a blast doing, well..... it's top secret! Over lunch the subject came up about what she plans to do with the rest of her life, her career choice, and where to go from here.  Question: How does a person discover their career path? Here's what we determined. Putting career first should not be  the preeminent decision of a High School Sr. Colossians 1:18 (New International Version) 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Is Christ number one in our life?  Our career....... is to serve Him. That is our work and ministry. When He's in the number one spot we see everything more

Ministry ~ in HIS time

Angie recieved a phone call around 9:30am from FBC Springfield. The search cmte. chairman told her that the vote was unanimous for her as their new Childrens Minister. I recieved a phone call from the CPE supervisor at the VA around noon asking me if I would join the staff at the VA as the new resident Chaplain. God was preparing Angie and me for the big double wammy. She and I have labored in prayer for many weeks and most of you have joined in with us. We are very very excited about this new direction. For all of you who encouraged us to press on we are enternally greatful. Praise the LORD. JMT

AQUAFFECT

Call it the aquaffect! Stay with me as I explain. Human suffering in the world today is immense. On top of that, there are more people alive today than have ever died making our present day indeed the valley of decision. Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The day of the Lord, as Joel phrased it, continues in a complex, confused, and anxious world in which we call home. Never before in the history of time has there been such a profound need for Christ. The degradation of society has plummeted to levels that are beyond comprehension. Spend some time viewing current documentaries and you'll discover degrees of depravity that you never imagined. Sadly, public confidence in spiritual matters of faith and God have suffered. It's not surprising. As the toll of end times events ratchet up, cynicism will increase. Christ is the hope of the world. The Aquaffect is you and me giving a cup of cold water

Life Comes At You Fast ~

I suppose this would be a good time to talk about Noah. The parallels have been sloshing about in my head since the catastrophic events of the last several days. Who expected such a torrent of floods to descend upon the middle TN area and create such chaos? For many.....homes, families, jobs, music, tourism and so on came crashing down like a wave. The tension and disturbance in the air was palpable. Can you imagine 40 days and 40 nights of this? You can see from our own experience how quickly things can change around. Surprise...the rains came down and the floods came up. The Massive boat of Noah and his family began to look less and less "silly" as the floods began to rise. Hey folks, my description is not that of a boat or ark, it was essentially a life buoy. An unsinkable bobber full of Gods faithful. No matter what kind of wave cascaded over the ark, they landed upright. You see, by faith, they were all "in" and GOD had shut the door. They where safe through an

Update

21 days to go for the chaplain intership! In September 2009 Angie and I began praying about this bold adventure. We knew that the road would be difficult and it has been challenging TSC has been helpful in allowing me the time off to work at the VA during the week and complete my full time hours on nights and weekends. My family has been very supportive as well as my church. There's no doubt that the prayers and encouragement have pushed me through. All I'm being told at this point regarding the full time residency is that I have been chosen to interview for the job. I covet your prayers that Im perform well and asked to serve. It's totally in Gods hands. Ministering as a chaplain is rich in rewards and has provided a host of opportunities to share Christ. In fact, it's a field white unto harvest. The Lord guiding my steps is apparent. It's as if a Holy Spirit tractor beam directs each encounter. Once again pray for me these remIning few days that God&
