When Dreamers Dream

2 Peter 1: 3-4 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires

At times a promise is all we need to persevere. As a child, simple promises kept my dreams alive; a promise from daddy to take me fishing when he got home, a promise to buy the bicycle I had always wanted if I made good grades.
Little promises that made me wonder, hope, and dream.

Our heavenly father makes essential promises to us. Essential because these great promises keep our hopes and dreams alive as we continue to press on in this present world.

When I'm given an exciting promise my mind begins to plan and prepare for the reality of that promise. Even though in our heart we know that agreements can be easily broken. It's part of the human factor in an ever shifting world in which we live.

God extends unto us His promises as a blessing in themselves. Like Abraham, we are always looking forward! ...who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Heb.11

This one thing is for certain: God will never fail, never let you down, never forget, and never falter in fulfilling His promises to you.
Presence...
Purpose...
Forgiveness...
Peace...
Eternal life...

Set your dreams and your plans on what is for today and what lies ahead. We can bank on it...for his promises are tried and true. For the LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made Ps.145:13
