Anyway



 People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

It's between you and God...! Mother Teresa had it right. If God is for us, who can be against us?

Serving God in the trenches can be disheartening when your good is evil spoken of. 
You may think to yourself...
"I'm down here in the blood, sweat, and tears with these folks and this is the thanks I get? Don't these people know I can find better things to do with my time than slave it out down here in the muck and mire of their junk. Who do they think they are saying stuff like that? Well I ought to..."

Feel better?  Now that you've got that off your chest, remember "In the final analysis it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway."

Keep serving ANYWAY !

One of the most heart rendering experiences I've ever had occurred on a mission trip to the south pacific. My niece came with me along with a dozen other workers. We arrived at the airport in Manila Philippines for our return flight to America. My niece reached for her passport...and it wasn't there. Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. And the place was shaken...WOW We all need these moments of transfiguration. Times when God makes an appearance leaving no doubt that you are where you're supposed to be doing exactly what is pleasing to Him. God moments...! They happen every day. All day. In big and small ways. The small moments may bring a smile. The huge bring tears.
