Move Over Edward

Alright you guys, I've had just about enough of the twilight malarkey. Hey people, I don't want to burst your bubble or anything but Edward doesn't really exist. And on top of that, he's a vampire for crying out loud.

If you want to hear a true romance story, here's one from real life.
One of the Doctors on my medical team is completing her residency in Nashville while her husband is off working in Allentown , PA. They spend most of their time apart and haven't seen each other for weeks. They miss each other terribly but the logistics of their work and completion of their training is keeping them apart for the time being.

Angelia is a wonderful Christian Dr. that shares with me regularly about her faith, family, medical practice, and occasional updates on the hubby.

Recently he was sent to Brazil on a business trip. He was scheduled to return last weekend. His last communication to her was that he would fly straight to Pennsylvania and report back to his office. She had already braced herself for what was sure to be a lonely Valentines Day

When Dr. Joshi arrived home on Friday, guess who was waiting for her? Yep - a real life Edward. He had convinced his company to let him lay over in Nashville to surprise his young bride. On Valentine's day, Angelia had the surprise gift that truly took her breath away.

When she showed up at the hospital, she was glowing.
So much so,  I had to ask her what was going on.
She had an expression like the cat that ate the canary.
You knew something was up.
She was giddy when she shared with me about the best valentine she could ever hope or ask for.

Love is a true gift and blessing from the lord.

Proverbs 15:17 say's

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is,
Than a fatted calf with hatred.

In the New Testament it says that there is faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is LOVE.

We might not of had very much when I was growing up in Charlotte, TN, but we had one thing in our household that's worth all the Gold in California - LOVE.

The famed psychologist Dr. James Dobson was asked, "Whats the best gift a mother & father could give their children?"
He answered, "Love each other!"

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in his will not perish but have everlasting life.

...Consider how great is the love the father has lavished unto us.

Oops. Gotta go. Angie wants to watch New Moon  :)
