Born Again

John 3:7  You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

If our Lord thought it necessary to say it then it bears repeating. All the Christian activities and associations in which we are aligned does not mean we are born again. Titles, service, and even baptism does not make us born anew.

The phrase "Born Again" may be outdated and unpopular but the truth remains. Unless we are transformed by the Holy Spirit of God and experience a new birth we will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

We are not fostered to be His children we are born His children. New birth happens when we receive the free gift of eternal life through our Lord and  Savior Jesus Christ. Please pay careful attention my friends. Multitudes will say on that day that they dedicated their life to the Christian effort and cause but He will say to them, "depart from me, I never knew you." The inheritance of heaven belongs to those that have been washed in the blood of the lamb; believing in faith His atoning sacrifice for their sins. It is to them God gave the right to be called the children of God.

The Lord Jesus made this charge to Israels teacher; revealing a common scheme of the deceiver; to mislead...even the most religious. When Nicodemus met the master, he was introduced to a spiritual requirement he had never once considered before. Notice how things become crystal clear when there is divine intervention?. This may be your intervention! Do you know that you were born again? When you are born of the spirit, like the wind,  you may feel it...others will see it....and as you grow in Him....you will know it.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
