Come and Dine

Isaiah 55: “Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?

I don't know how the Lord does it but at the right moment, in the depth of our despair, malnourished from the husk of the swine; He then holds out in front of us His free and indescribable gift. An opportunity that comes through the means of His Holy Spirit. It is a banquet fit for royalty. Sustenance that quickens the senses to a mouth watering urge.

With one glimpse at His bounty and a whiff of the aroma we are assured that this is what we lack; to eat, to drink, what most assuredly can fill us to end all our languor and longing.

It if free. No money or wage is necessary; only to receive the free gift. The promise is that if we dine we will live; abundantly...eternally.

What will it take? To what depths are you so willing to plunge before you see His table set for you?

God does not abandon in the mire. Our senses are alerted, by divine intervention, that our Father will slay the fattened calf on our return.

Come to Him. In faith, extend your feeble hand;  be seated with royalty.

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared,
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
